Evaporation: When water heat’s up and goes from a liquid to a gas, forming water vapour.

Precipitation: When water falls from clouds as rain, hail, sleet or snow.

Aquifer: An underground water reservoir not like a tank, but more like a sponge or an area of  gravel soaked in water.

Condensation: When water vapour (a gas) cools and becomes a liquid, such as when clouds from.

Percolation: When water soaks through soil and rocks into the underground water storages.

Transpiration: When water moves up plant stems and the trunks of  trees, from the roots to the leaves.
